Annual “Spooktacular” Is Oct. 26
Helps Partnership for Children of Lincoln, Gaston Counties
VALE––Boo!
Yes, it’s time once again for the “Spooktacular” celebration at the Woodmill Winery in Vale. Coming up on Saturday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., this will be the 16th annual such event. It benefits the Partnership for Children of Lincoln and Gaston Counties, which is based in Dallas and is part of the Smart Start network.
Rosalind Richardson is the group’s early literacy specialist and community outreach co-ordinator. Richardson recently told The Herald more about the “Spooktacular.”
The event is a family-friendly autumnal and Hallowe’en festival. Snacks and drinks will be available. Representatives of local businesses will also be on hand with information about them. Attendees may even see some Disney princesses, superheroes and other costumed characters. Games, dancing and other fun events for the whole family are sure to be enjoyed by all.
Plus, there will be a drawing. If you’re the lucky winner, your family of four will get season passes to Carowinds.
And the Partnership is excited to welcome back the “Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures” to the “Spooktacular” event. Learn more about children’s oral health, and show off your beautiful smile to receive a reading buddy.
The Partnership extends its thanks to GSM Services for being its “There’s Nothing Butter than Popcorn” sponsor for the 2024 “Spooktacular.”
The Partnership for Children of Lincoln and Gaston Counties is a nonprofit organization that provides many services and advocates and collaborates with others to ensure the wellbeing of children, from infancy through 5 years of age. The goal is to help ensure that children can reach their health, developmental and educational potentials. The Partnership supports local families and children through Smart Start, North Carolina’s award-winning early childhood initiative.
The Woodmill Winery is located at 1350 Woodmill Winery Lane in Vale.
