Area School Closings & Delays Monday, Jan. 13

CLOSINGS

CATAWBA COUNTY: Due to continued icy road conditions in rural areas, Catawba County Schools will be closed for students on Monday, January 13, 2025. It will be an optional teacher workday for staff. QUEST will also be closed.

DELAYS

GASTON COUNTY: Due to the potential of water remaining on some roads and parking lots to refreeze overnight, Gaston County Schools will operate on a one-hour delay on Monday, January 13. The one-hour delay will allow for morning bus routes to take place after daybreak.

LINCOLN COUNTY: Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Monday, January 13. High School students are to report to First Period. No Breakfast will be served.
