Barbara Ann Houser Wilkinson

Barbara Ann Houser Wilkinson, 90, of Maiden, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at her residence.
She was born November 13, 1934 in Lincoln County to the late William Alvin Houser and Hester Ellen Houser. Barbara was a member of Mt. Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden, where she was baptized on February 25, 1968. A devoted member of the church, she sang in the choir, helped with Vacation Bible School, was active in the Women’s Missionary Union, and had a special gift for caring for the babies in the nursery. Barbara had a love for crafts, especially making blankets and kleenex boxes, and a passion for sending cards, always bringing encouragement and joy to others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jimmy White; grandson, William Cooper; brothers, Bill Houser, Marvin Houser Jr., John Houser, and Charles Houser; sisters, Peggy Houser, Lucy Isaac, Reba Painter, Inez Baker, Louise Cockey, Nana Melton, and Edith Melton.

Grandchildren: Brande White, Jordan White (Kara), Brittany Lineberger, Bailey Blair (Jordan), Jessica Cooper, Stefanie Powers, and Dustin Powers
Great-Grandchildren: Bentley Altmayer, Jace Poole, Cayden White, Jensen Blair, Zayn Lineberger, and Avery White
Honorary Grandchildren: Telisa Hunter and Adam Robinson
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden. Rev. Donald Cline and Rev. Charles Ingle will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. at Mt. Anderson Baptist Church. Those serving as pallbearers will be Afton McRee, Jordan White, Jordan Blair, Bentley Altmayer, Dustin Powers, Adam Robinson, Steve Hull, Todd Painter, and Jace Poole.
