Betty Martin Smith
November 6, 1936 - October 9, 2024
IRON STATION, N.C. - Betty Martin Smith, age 87, of South Ingleside Farm Road in Iron Station, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Betty was born November 6, 1936, in Gaston County, to the late George W. Martin and Lillie Fisher Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Smith, and brother Charles Martin. She was a hairdresser.
She is survived by three sons, Doug Wesley Smith (Toni) of Mt. Holly, Dennis M. Smith of New York City, N.Y., and Darren L. Smith of Stanley; daughter, Diana Joy Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Garrett, Channing, and Lawson Smith.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Smith family.
