Byron Garland Shrum
Byron Garland Shrum, Sr., age 87, of Beal Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bud Painter officiating.
Mr. Shrum was born February 24, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late Garland and Cora Calloway Shrum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hart Shrum; and two sisters, Catherine Laney and Lorene Schrum. He was the owner of Byron Shrum Construction.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Boyles (Mike), Ronda Mullen (Scott), and Sue Cline, all of Lincolnton, Byron Shrum, Jr. of Conover, and Judy Thompson (Robby) of Lincolnton; his significant other, Pauline Drum of Maiden; sister, Bertie Ervin of Hickory; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
