VALE, N.C. - Christine Lynn Dove Payne, age 61, of Vale passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service for Christine will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Blaine Boyd officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Christine was born January 13, 1963 in Loudoun County, Virginia to Mary Laverne Hall Dove and the late Fred E. Dove.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Payne Huffstetler, a granddaughter, Sadie Huffstetler and a brother, Fred Dove. 

Survivors include her husband, John Payne of the home; one daughter, Casey Payne Hylton and husband Danny of Lincolnton; mother, Mary Hall Dove of Virginia; two sisters, Ruth Dove and Mary McCourt, both of Virginia; son-in-law, Joe Huffstetler of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Mason Hylton, Emerson Hylton and Canaan Hylton; mother-in-law, Juanita Payne of Virginia; sister-in-law, Sharon Mullins and husband Randall and their children, Stephanie and Chris of Virginia; nephew, Travis McCourt and family of Virginia.

Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Payne family.
