David Ray Lutz
September 28, 1952 – April 9, 2026
LINCOLNTON, N.C.—David Ray Lutz, age 73, of Lincolnton died on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 17, 2026 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. p.m. at Daniels Lutheran Church in Lincolnton, with a service to follow. Pastor Phil Goins will officiate.
David was born September 28, 1952, to the late George Huitt Lutz and Ethel Mae Lutz. He retired from Lincoln County Schools and continued to serve his community working part time at The Drug Store in Lincolnton.
He is survived by his wife, Celeste Lutz of the home; daughters, Tracy Livingston (Michael) of Lincolnton and Valerie Hall; and four grandchildren, Samantha Houser (Ethan), Cody Livingston, Raela Hall, and Canon Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607; the National Wildlife Federation at https://support.nwf.org/page/58590/donate/1; or a charity of your choice.
