Doris Elaine Dellinger Carpenter
Doris Elaine Dellinger Carpenter, age 82, of Cardinal Healthcare and Rehabilitation, and formerly of Camp Creek Road in Iron Station, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Sharon Baptist Church with Pastor Harvey Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Carpenter was born December 12, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late Graham and Edna Lineberger Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Keith Carpenter, Sr. and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Cockerline.
She is survived by two sons, William Harvey Carpenter (Penny) and Stanley Keith Carpenter, Jr. (Tonya), all of Lincolnton; daughter, Elaine Self (Garry) of Vale; sister, Joy Dellinger of Vale; brother, Lawrence Dellinger of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Billy Carpenter (Callie), Joshua Carpenter (Lyndsay), Alicia Cockerline (Jason), Garry Self, Jr., Noell Keener (Samuel), Lilly Crouse (Anthony), and William Harvey Carpenter, Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren, Logan Carpenter (Carson), Caleb Carpenter, Colton Carpenter, Nathan Cockerline, Jonathan Morgan, Alyssa Crouse, Anniston Carpenter, Haisley Carpenter, and Maverick Carpenter.
