Harold Gene Crouse Sr.
August 12, 1933 – September 20, 2024
NEWTON, N.C. - Harold Gene Crouse Sr. age, 91 of Newton passed away peacefully Friday, September 20, 2024 at his residence.
Born August 12, 1933 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Fred and Sarah Travis Crouse. Harold attended Living Word Church in Maiden.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Joann Marlowe Crouse; grandson, Michael Crouse; two brothers, Gaither and Herman “Bud” Crouse and sister, Helen Lawing preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons Gene Crouse and wife Frankie of Newton, Michael Crouse of Maiden; daughter Pat McConnell and husband Steve of Newton; five grandchildren Angie Larsen and husband Niels, Wendy McConnell, Sarah Whitt and husband Allen, Andrew Crouse and fiancé Julia Stauffer, Emily Sipe and husband Logan; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Henry Ward and wife Jill of Maiden.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Living Word Church in Maiden with Pastor Brad Davis and Pastor Brennan Travis officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Maiden.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Living Word Church.
