Julie 15, 1965 - September 1, 2024
LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Julie “Granni” Kaye Lynch Cole, 59, of Lincolnton passed away peacefully as per her wishes with a trusted and loyal friend by her side, on September 1, 2024 in Hospice Care in Newton.
Julie was born on July 15, 1965 in Kimberly, Alabama to the late Henry “Jake” Lynch and Evelyn Lynch. She was currently employed with R-Anell Housing Group and previously with Zipper’s Restaurant. Julie was very proud of her daughter, Nena Cole, and granddaughter, Serena Hensley of Lincolnton.
Julie was a beautiful soul who never met a stranger. She loved God’s word and was passionate about her faith. She was a proud member of Covenant Church in Lincolnton. Julie enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was very loved by her community. She never failed to light up a room with her contagious joy and bright smile. Julie was well known for her warm and welcoming hugs and the love she shared with everyone.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Henry (Jake) Lynch; mother, Evelyn Lynch; and sister, Tenna Lineberger.
She is survived by her daughter, Nena Cole; granddaughter, Serena Hensley; sisters, Linda Motz and husband Cliff, Tammy Heavner; and brother Roger Avery and wife Debra. Julie was also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved.
The celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Covenant Church, 2168 Gastonia Hwy, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
In lieu of flowers, Julie preferred donations be made to Carolina Caring in her memory.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Cole family.
