Kathy Ann Hefner Surrett
April 9, 1951 – October 17, 2024
CONOVER, N.C. - Kathy Ann Hefner Surrett, 73, of Conover passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
She was born April 9, 1951 in Catawba County to the late Robert and Cora Herman Hefner. Kathy was of the Baptist Faith and was previously employed in the furniture industry. She loved to cook, enjoyed hosting cookouts, liked being outdoors and loved being around her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Hefner Hollar.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 28 years Arlie Surrett of the home; son Shannon Lail of Conover; daughter Jennifer Lail and husband Wayne Hart of Granite Falls; brother Gary Hefner and wife Joyce of Conover; sister Patsy Pope and husband Johnny of Conover; granddaughters Marella Morgan and Sierra Lail; grandsons Tyler Tallant and Zachary Lail; great-grandchildren Sadie Pfeil and Zane Daniels.
A private service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at a later date.
