LCSO Will Have Large Display At 2024 Lincoln County Apple Festival

LINCOLNTON, N.C. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has provided security at the Lincoln County Apple Festival since the celebration began and this year the Sheriff’s Office will use the 2024 Apple Festival to display the many ways we protect and serve the public.
The Sheriff’s Office will have a number of display booths and equipment on Apple Festival Day in the 200 and 300 block of West Main Street in Lincolnton. First of all, for the kids the LCSO Administrative Staff will be available to pass out coloring books and stickers. In addition, for the adults, you will learn about concealed carrying permits, fingerprinting and how records are maintained at the Sheriff’s Office.
Here is a list of the displays that will be available at the Apple Festival:
· Mobile Field Force
· LCSO Post 700 Explorers
· School Resource Officers
· The K-9 Corp (Drug and Evidence Tracking Dogs)
· The LCSO Lake Patrol Boat
· The Dive Team and equipment
· The Swiftwater Rescue Team and Boat
· The LCSO Honor Guard
· The LCSO Negotiators
· Harven A. Crouse Detention Center Officers and Transport Van
· The LCSO Search Team and Equipment
· Project Lifesaver
· MRAP Ballistic Armored Vehicle
· The SWAT team with night vision equipment
· The certified LCSO Drone Team and flight vehicles
· Axon Safety Equipment including TASERS, body cameras, 360 Virtual Training
· The LCSO Command Post that is used for critical incidents.
