LINCOLNTON, N.C. — The Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center received a $7,829.67 donation from 7 Brew Coffee during a ribbon-cutting ceremony October 14 celebrating the opening of the company's new location at 2109 E. Main Street in Lincolnton.
The donation was raised during the business's October 9-11 "Caffeine for a Cause" weekend, when customers were invited to sample beverages and contribute whatever amount they wished to support the local nonprofit.
The Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center, part of the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse, serves children and families affected by child abuse.
Samantha Sumpter, interim executive director of the organization, expressed appreciation for the donation and the company's commitment to supporting the community.
"We're honored to be one of those organizations," Sumpter said. "Thank you, 7 Brew, for supporting the children and families we serve and for making community involvement part of the way you do business."
Representatives of the Child Advocacy Center attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, held in partnership with the Lincolnton-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, to accept the donation.
