LINCOLNTON––Maddie White was proclaimed the new Lincoln County Apple Queen, Saturday evening.
In ceremonies held at the Warren Citizens Center, White was crowned by last year’s queen, Madilynne Burgin. The runners-up were Rae Watson, Kyleigh Wilson and Cloey Adix.
White, who is known locally for her Christian witness, motivational speaking, mission trip efforts and songwriting, has led worship services at the Hesed House in Lincolnton, at last year’s Value and Worth Conference and elsewhere.
“The song, ‘Worth It,’ that I wrote,” she recently said, “has opened so many doors of opportunity. And I couldn’t be more thankful that God allowed me to minister through worship.”
White spoke further of her love for Christ.
“Jesus,” she declared. “There is power in that Name!”
And Tuesday, she extended her gratitude to God for her new role as Apple Queen and all the opportunities this will mean for her.
“God is so good, it’s overwhelming!” she enthused. “I could not be more grateful for this new platform I’ve been given to share the Good News. I cannot wait to see what this year brings and how the Lord uses me to lead others to Him.”
