Marian A. Schick
May 1, 1932 - May 10, 2026
OAK RIDGE, N.C.—Mrs. Marian A. Schick, age 94, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Burlington.
Born in Portage County, Ohio, Marian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Though small in stature, her love was immense—steady, generous, and felt by everyone blessed to know her.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Grace Knight Snider, and her husband, Sheldon “Howard” Schick (2015).
Those left to cherish her memory include her four sons, Ronald Schick, Keith (Diane) Schick, Gary (Melina) Schick, Howard “Chris” (Robin) Schick, and one daughter, Gail (David) Cox; two brothers, Joe (Rosalie) Laskos, Ed Laskos, and a sister, Sandy Dillon. Marian has six grandchildren: Greg Schick, Ashley Lemons, Brian Schick, Jason Cox, Misty Schick, and Brice Schick; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marian was devoted to her family. Her presence was gentle but strong, and her love had a way of filling every room she entered.
She leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, but her light continues in all who were touched by her life.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service Stokesdale Chapel.
