MaryNell VanHorn Shook
MaryNell VanHorn Shook, 88, of Claremont passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at The Greens at Hickory.
MaryNell was born May 10, 1936 in Catawba County to the late Joseph Glenn and Ruth Fulbright VanHorn. MaryNell was a member of Mt. View Church in Claremont and retired from the furniture industry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Marshall Shook; and son, Terry Shook.

A service to celebrate MaryNell’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. View Church in Claremont. Rev. Rich Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Mt. View Church.
