Mr. Rodney Calvin "Rod" Turner
Lincolnton - Mr. Rodney Calvin "Rod" Turner, 78, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his residence.
Rod was born on November 13, 1946 in Lincoln County, NC a son of the late Clarence Calvin Turner and Stella Whitaker Turner. He was retired from Duke Power and Charlotte Paint. Rod was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Lincolnton. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Stella Jannett Strange.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Margaret Ann Richard Turner of the home; a son, Shawn Seagle of Taylorsville; three daughters, Meche Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC; Kacey Turner of Lincolnton and Whittney Turner of Cherryville; seven grandchildren, Kevin Nichols, R.B. Cronland, Ashley Seagle, Alea Seagle, Kaylee Braddy, Savannah Strange and Skyler Gilbo; one great grandchild, Kyler Nichols.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Pastor Eddie Yount officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Burial will be private.
