Notice Of Discharge Of Untreated Sewage At McKay Road
The discharge entered Clark Creek in the Catawba River Basin

The City of Newton experienced a discharge of untreated wastewater from the wastewater collection system of an estimated 16,500 gallons from about 4:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 11. The discharge occurred at 1369 McKay Road during heavy rain that led to inflow and infiltration into the wastewater collection system. The discharge entered Clark Creek in the Catawba River Basin.
