CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Robert "Bob" Lee Gilreath, 92 of Jennifer Lane, Cherryville passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Ware Place, S.C. on July 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Algie Gilreath and Mary Cecil Walters Gilreath. Bob was retired from Southeastern Freight Lines as a manager. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville and the Aileen Barger Sunday School Class. Bob was a member for over 50 years with the Taylors, S.C. Masonic Lodge and served in the US Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Propst Gilreath; and son, Robbie Gilreath.

He is survived by his daughter, Sally Rickard and husband Kevin of Charlotte; a brother, Alvin Gilreath and wife Betsy of Travelers Rest, S.C.; two sisters, Lillian Pulcine and Virginia Aytes both of Travelers Rest, S.C.; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cherryville.+

A Celebration of Life Service will he held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 12 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 301 E. 1st Street, Cherryville, NC 28021.
