Ruth Angelene “Angie” Bradshaw Taylor

Ruth Angelene “Angie” Bradshaw Taylor, age 90, of Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, after an extended illness.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Franklin Taylor; parents, Ivery Frank Bradshaw and Bernice Yarbrough Bradshaw; sisters, Doris Miller, Carol Bryant, Mary Nell Engle, and Eleanor Henley; and a son-in-law, Bryan Fleenor.
Born July 21, 1934, Angie lived in Iron Station until she married Charles at the age of 17. She was a full-time homemaker and mother while her children were young, and worked in various retail stores in the Lincolnton area in the 80s and 90s. She loved to bake for others, sing, talk, and spend time ensuring she looked picture perfect. Those who knew her will remember Angie as never having a hair out of place and her outfits matching from head to toe.
She has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1956 and was very active in the choir and the Senior Sunshine Club. She was also a member of Golden Voices since 2000, a Lincolnton senior choir who performs at nursing homes, churches, and other events. She was a blessing to all who knew her and will be forever missed.
She is survived by one son, Carl Taylor and his wife Rebecca of Lincolnton; one daughter, Charlene Lippard and her husband Chuck of Sherrills Ford; one brother, Steve Bradshaw and his wife Brenda of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Wes Taylor and his wife Tara of Midlothian, VA, Kylie Crabtree and her husband Kevin of Lincolnton, and Cory Taylor and his wife Kendall of Lincolnton; three great-grandchildren, Khloe Taylor, Carter and Karlie Crabtree; two step-great-grandsons, John and Grant Ward; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 pm. A committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 7, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
