Search Of Suspected Drug House Leads To Seizure Of Drugs, Cash

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - In early July 2024, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit received numerous tips from the public that Terry Lee McConneaughey, 49, of Nottingham Road, Lincolnton, NC was selling large quantities of narcotics throughout Lincoln County.
During the investigation, the narcotics unit was able to conduct many hours of surveillance on the residence located at 2453 Nottingham Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Investigators were able to stop traffic leaving the residence and during the stops were able to seize narcotics. Investigators also made purchases from the residence and from McConneaughey at the residence by using operational techniques.
On September 4, 2024, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search warrant, Narcotics Investigators seized 110 grams of methamphetamine (nearly 4 ounces), 192 grams of fentanyl (over 6 ounces), 20 grams of ecstasy, 15 grams of heroin, 3 grams of crack cocaine, and $1,400.00 in cash.
McConneaughey was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking Heroin, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking opiates, 6 count of sell and delivery of a controlled substance, 4 counts of maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and, and deliver ecstasy, possession of drug paraphernalia, 5 counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance.
Terry Lee Mcconneaughey was placed in the Harven Crouse Detention Center under a $310,000 secured bond.
