Timothy Alan Setzer
Timothy Alan Setzer, 65, of Claremont, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at The Greens in Viewmont.
He was born September 14, 1959 in Catawba County to the late Willie A. Setzer and Johnsie Crawford Setzer. Timothy was a lifelong member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Claremont, a 1977 graduate of Bandys High School, and worked as a foreman for Setzer Brothers Water Systems. He had a deep love for Jesus, his church, his family, and music. Timothy enjoyed singing, collecting gadgets, playing church softball, cheering on the NC State Wolfpack, and listening to Elvis Presley.

Stanley Setzer and wife Melissa of Newton
Sister: June S. Elmore and husband Charles of Catawba
Nieces and Nephews: Greg Setzer, Callie Gilchrist, Larry Setzer Jr., Becky E. Cox, Sarah E. Hess, Will Setzer, A.J. Punch, Jerry Punch, and Stanley Setzer II
A host of great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins
A service to celebrate Timothy’s life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church in Claremont. Rev. David Nolan and Rev. Philip Setzer will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are Austin Setzer, Weston Setzer, Stanley Setzer II, Adam Hoffman, Anna Hoffman, and Carl Pope Jr.
