Makayla Linn Mullins
April 6, 2013 – August 18, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved child Makayla Linn Mullins who was taken from us too soon on August 18, 2024 at Levine’s Children Hospital at the tender age of 11.
She was born April 6, 2013 in Catawba County to Jimmy Bryan Tse and Jessica Linn Johnson of Conover. Makayla brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her kind heart, larger than life personality, genius mindset, and over achievement in all aspects of her life. She loved to help others and never met a stranger. Anyone who had ever had the privilege of meeting our sweet Makayla instantly fell in love with her. She was an A-Honor student at Lyle Creek Elementary, receiving multiple medals and awards in many categories. Makayla was a member of the book club, an actress in a school play, and a member of the school TV series LCTV. She was also a member of Girl Scout Troop 13015, she took ballet, tap, jazz, and guitar lessons.
Makayla loved art, creating, painting, drawing, coloring, kawaii style, anything with art! She loved Jesus, the beach, reading, shopping, going to the spa with her mom, and playing games with her family. Makayla loved wearing makeup, swimming, bike riding and swinging at her MomMoms and Paw-Paws house. She loved rock hunting, exploring the woods, and boat rides with her Nona and Paw-paw. Makayla loved fairies and fairy gardens. Makayla loved animals, especially her cat Figgy and dog Koda.
Surviving family members are as follows: her mother Jessica Johnson and father Jimmy Tse. Siblings Kenzie Tse, Adrien Tse, Kyler Tse. Grandparents Amanda Ferencz and Kevin Ferencz, Richard Mullins and Mandy Mullins. Aunt and uncles Kristin Mullins, Shawn Grant, Cody Shumate, and Heather Reynolds, and great-aunt Donna Farris who called her Blossom, great-grandmother Audrey Ferencz and Anita Burgess.
