(Above) Congratulations to Ellie Esser, North Lincoln’s 2024 Homecoming Queen - Elle is the daughter of Jennifer and Quenten Esser and was escorted by her father, Mr. Quenten Esser. She is a member of the BETA Club, the National Technical Honors Society, and the National Honors Society and also plays Varsity Volleyball. Ellie plans to attend NC State University to study Veterinary Sciences.

· Maiden 5, West Lincoln 1: West Lincoln’s only goal was scored by Edwin Ramirez in his first game back since suffering an ankle injury two weeks ago. Next home game on Wednesday against Bunker Hill.
Wednesday, October 16
· West Lincoln 3, Bunker Hill 2: West Lincoln broke their losing streak tonight with a win over Bunker Hill! West struck first with Edwin Ramirez scoring his 17th goal of the season on an assist from Gustavo Otero Torres. Then Bunker Hill struck back with their first goal to tie the game 1-all. Then Bunker Hill scored their second goal to take the lead at the half 2-1. Then midway thru the second half West ties the game 2-2 on a free kick goal from Gregorio Soto Aguilar. Then with about 12 minutes left West takes the lead with a goal from Gustavo Otero Torres. Defensively West goalie Grayson Gilbert held Bunker Hill to only two goals on 15 shots ending the game with a total of 13 saves keeping them scoreless in the second half of the game. Luke Moretz had 25 steals, Caleb Brooks had 25 steals, Reid Sellers had 20 steals and freshman Chase Driscoll had 30 steals. West will back in action on Monday at Newton-Conover.
